Custom Routine Apps for Autistic Adults and Children.

Posted on the

In order to help me live alone and learn routines I have been building simple iOS routine apps which run on iPod Touch, iPads and iPhones.

The apps have a set of screen with step by step instructions for how to do something. They also have a custom icon and label on the home screen.

Each screen can contain images, text or photos or a combination of all three. You swipe left and right to move through the screens.

These apps are super useful. So I would like to share them and make them for others.

But as they are custom I can’t share them within the iOS App Store so instead I am offering to custom develop them and post them to you preloaded on a iPod Touch or iPad.

Who’s it for?

The apps are useful to anyone who needs help with routines. For examples adults and children who are autistic or who have a learning disability.

The apps are also useful for anyone who finds step by step instructions helpful. For examples I can make them for business to document how to do something (like how to do the till at the end of day etc).

For example:

  • Step to step photos of how to get dressed specific to a child’s actual shoes or bedroom etc.
  • Match the step by step guides to classroom icons or makaton symbols
  • Step by step routines for home activities like answering the door or making a sandwich.
  • Or advanced activities like cooking a roast.

How Much?

For £249 I am offering:

  • Custom application (5-10 screen depending on complexity)
  • Free iPod Touch
  • Free iPod Touch setup
  • 1 year of Supoort via email.

Why?

I want to help others and I think my simple apps are really powerful. They are extremely easy to use (just swipe across) and they sit on the home screen with whatever icon and label makes most sense.

I also need to pay for my support. So the money I make selling these apps going directly to helping to fund my independent living and work on writing this website and public speak etc.
